The Modern Art of Brujeria: Incense Magics

The arts and traditions of burning sacred smokes are deeply rooted spiritual practices and rituals seen across the globe and these medicines have played a vital role both spiritually and culturally in brujeria and witchcraft communities. In this workshop we will be exploring three families of sacred smokes and some introductory techniques and rituals for each one. We will create smudge bundles, resin disks, and loose incenses for each of the following categories:
Cleansing, Releasing, and Fumigation: Ceremonies and rituals that employ smokes to identify blockages, stagnating energies, uninvited entities, and illnesses; they support their removal both internally and in our spaces.
Attraction and Drawing: Practices for manifesting blessings and materializing our desires and goals.
Astral Travel, Communicating with Spirit, and Divination: Rites and recipes for dream work, extrasensory and astral travel experiences, and communicating and divining with Spirit and spirits.
As part of our work, Lou will hand out an unpublished chapter on incense magics from The Modern Art of Brujeria.
